Welcome!
Welcome to the Mechanical Engineering Curriculum Symposium, sponsored by San Diego State University's Department of Mechanical Engineering with support from the Department of Education's Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education (FIPSE).
This web site will help you plan for the symposium and get situated once you've arrived.
This symposium is a dissemination event; our goal is to share how we've revised three undergraduate courses - each redesigned to be more learner-centered, relevant to the professional world graduates will face, and attractive to traditionally underserved students.
You'll have an opportunity at the symposium to
- interact with students,
- practice with the software that students themselves use, and
- complete tasks/activities that help you see the curriculum from both the instructor and student vantage points.
We hope you will explore all the possibilities of this exciting event.
