SYNOPSIS: Support is provided to American Indian/Alaskan Native full-time college students who are members of AISES and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or greater. Students must be pursuing academic degrees in the sciences, engineering, medicine, natural resources, math and technology. Awards of $1,000 for undergraduates and $2,000 for graduate students are available for one academic year.

ELIGIBILITY
<p>Eligible applicants are full-time undergraduate or graduate students majoring in one of the following college disciplines at an accredited four-year college or university: sciences, engineering, medicine, natural resources, math and technology. Applicants must be members of an American Indian tribe, or otherwise considered to be an American Indian by the tribe with which affiliation is claimed, or is at least one quarter American Indian blood, or is at least one quarter
Alaskan Native, or considered to be an Alaskan Native by an Alaskan Native group by which affiliation is claimed.</p>
FUNDING
<p>Scholarships are in the amounts of $1,000 for undergraduates and $2,000 for graduate students, per academic year. (jap)</p>
